Important questions to ask when choosing a long-term care facility.

Last post I asked you to consider and answer three important questions relating to family members and the resident to be. If you’ve answered those, it will help you narrow down the possibilities in terms of location, services offered, and your general sense of each facility visited.

There are other questions that should be asked relating to three areas –

  1. Quality of care and life
  2. Comfort and safety
  3. Financial management and costs

This link will take you to a convenient checklist of questions to ask at each location your visit and consider for care for your loved one. Our checklists.

In my next post, I’ll discuss financial considerations.

Thanks for reading and, as always, if you have comments or questions, please post them below.
