The Hamilton Manor, Latta Road Nursing Home and Latta Road A have been owned and operated by the Richardson family for over 30 years. Morris and Eleanor Richardson began their commitment to caring with the opening of Hamilton Manor is 1964. Today, their son Daniel Richardson is a licensed nursing home administrator who is carrying on their vision and commitment.

At our homes, we believe that a small, home-like environment provides the opportunity for loving, nurturing care. The Hamilton Manor and Latta Road Nursing Homes are located in a campus environment. Each building is limited to forty residents. Our small population allows staff to take the time to be patient, to get to know each resident and to interact on a personal level. Every member of our staff is a trained professional, ready to give the care and support needed by adults who are faced with physical and health challenges. The park-like grounds at all our facilities are frequent sites for family and resident outings. For residents who are unable to go out, the view is peaceful and serene.

One of the most difficult decisions a family will make often comes without warning. A sudden illness of accident can mean turning the care of a loved one over to the hands of others. This unexpected occurrence is typically filled with questions and doubts. Where does one begin? What should we be looking for? What are the options? Here are some the concerns other families faced and the support and care they found at the Hamilton Manor and Latta Road Nursing Homes."

"… My husband was in the veteran's hospital for ten years. When they decided he needed private care, I was terrified because I had heard terrible things about nursing homes. But fortunately, I found this facility. It’s wonderful that there is a place like this. They've thought of everything for the comfort of the residents. This is a family environment located on a lovely park-like setting."

"I've seen a big difference in my husband since he's been here. He's more comfortable with the smaller facility. He's happy here instead of being angry and frustrated."

"I think this is one of the best buys for adult care. Knowing that people care about my husband means so much."

"My mother's condition changed so suddenly we weren't prepared. We had to place her temporarily in a large facility. It was a frightening feeling leaving her in institutional care. Once we got her into this facility, all my anxieties were over. The resident and family can adjust to the changes here."

"Maybe it's never going to be exactly like home but the facility offers the most compassionate and nurturing care available. The food is outstanding and cleanliness is beyond reproach. There are just little hugs and special things. They're just very kind. When I left here the first day, I went home with a felling of relief and peace of mind."

"No one wants to place their loved one is a nursing home. At first I felt so guilty because she wasn't home with me, but I didn't have any choice. They are personally involved with the residents. It's only because they are so good here that I can rest day and night."

"I had quit my job to stay home and care for my mother but the day came when I just couldn’t manage any longer. I looked at 13 nursing homes. I chose Hamilton Manor Nursing Home because it is small and they work very hard to maintain a family environment. I like the one floor building and the fact they only have forty residents."

"When you need the help and they need the care … Hamilton Manor & Latta Road Nursing Homes are the answer."

"They're so caring and the surroundings are so beautiful…"
